Update June 4, 2009

Hello Everyone

Sorry it has been so long since our last update. Megan was able to come home May 20, 2009, the day of her third chemo treatment. She was welcomed by her family and over 500 hands from all of you that have been supporting her. She had a PET scan that week also. The PET scan showed that Megan is at a stage four. She will be meeting with the cancer center at USC next week.
God has given Megan a peace and a comfort about the whole situation. Prayers have been and will continue to be answered as we call out to our LORD!
Megan has still had no negative side effects to the chemo. She has only been tired. Please be praying for her strength.

Isla was able to come home a little over a week after she was born May 27, 2009. She has been doing great. She has been growing and at her last check up she was 5lbs 2 ounces. As you can see in the previous blog Kadence and Kailer LOVE their new "little sis."

Please keep the whole family in your prayers! Thank you

  1. Hi Megan,

Isla is gorgeous and I am so glad you are not having trouble with the chemo. I know you are going to USC for an appt. but remember City of Hope was mentioned on this blog earlier. City of Hope was so amazing in treating Jared's Hodgkin's and our good friends Kyle's Burkitt's lymphoma. I have no idea if your insurance would let you go there or if you are even interested but just had to let you know how great the care is there...and it's sooo close to home.

    Much love and prayers sent.

  3. I have heard wonderful things about City of Hope also from my Hodgkins Blog, this is a great forum for help. Google "Webmagic Hodgkins forum" and it should come up. Many many people on there cured, still fighting, refractory, all over the world. So many different scenarios and experience to help with any questions you have. I have been a member since half way through my treatment. I hope the side effects stay mild. They were mild for me also, just tired and blah feeling like I had the flu...no nausea so that was nice! Prayers are with you and your little ones.
